If you haven’t already seen the pieces written about the Autumn Fashion Fix then you need to do so right now here and here! The show was awesome and I felt privileged to have sat in the front row. However, as it was my first fashion show, I was super nervous and wanted to look my best (obviously). So, to do this I took my time in applying my make-up and choosing my outfit, which I did a few days before the event of course! Eventually, I was ready to go. As I was so excited to be involved with Tea Break and have the honour of covering the Autumn Fashion Fix, I wanted to share my outfit and make-up with you all. Hope you like it!

Make-up (as shown with a selfie – how else?)

So, I don’t know about you, but I’ve always had difficulty trying to find a foundation that worked for me. I have combination skin, which then makes it even more difficult – an absolute joy! But then I discovered Bare Minerals and it’s AMAZING. They do the loose powder foundation or the compact foundation; I can’t use the loose powder because I’m the clumsiest person in the world, and it’s just an accident waiting to happen, so that left me with the compact foundation (R250). I LOVE it. It doesn’t dry out your skin, gives natural looking coverage and covers imperfections flawlessly. It’s most redeeming quality for me is that it stops shine, which I found amazing as I found that all liquid foundations I’ve tried actually create shine, and that’s not helpful for me when I already have silly combination skin.

After discovering Bare Minerals compact foundation, I then became a bit of a Bare Minerals hoarder and I now swear by so many of their products (see below). I use their Purely Nourishing Moisturiser; of which they have one containing SPF if you want to protect your skin from the sun, READY eyeshadow palette called ‘The Possibilities’ (I’m wearing ‘Future’ in the photo) and the READY ‘French Kiss’ blush.

Just to make sure my make-up is set, I then use Mally Evercolour Poreless Face Defender, which is amazing! All you do is press a sponge on the Poreless Face Defender and press it on your face. What I love most is that it leaves a lovely smooth feeling and it seals your makeup for the whole day, even if you sweat! Definitely a must-have item in your make-up bag, ladies!

I’m also wearing MAC eyeliner and Chanel lipstick. I have so many lipsticks that it took me an embarrassingly long time to decide what to wear, whoops!

When it comes to my hair, I’m the most boring person in the world. I’ve never died it and I haven’t straightened it in years; I just used good old fashioned shampoo and hairspray and that’s it. Sorry to bore you.
