It’s a pretty known fact that I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift. I have cherished her music, cried at the song ‘White Horse‘, really felt the song ‘Tim McGraw‘, which is one of my favourites, and really grown to love the person she is.

She is the type of celebrity that you want to be best friends with because of how kind, funny and generous she is to all of her fans. So here is ten times that Taylor Swift made her fans melt, because why would you need a reason to love Taylor Swift? She’s amazing!

1. The time she gave some heartfelt advice on love and boys to a fan on her Instagram account:

She wrote:
Hannah. Eyes, eyes, eyes. Woah. You have the pretties, widest, most child like eyes. (Composes herself) Okay. About this guy. I think we grow up thinking the only love that counts as true love is the kind that lasts forever or is fully realized. When you have a broken heart, the first thing a stranger will ask you is ‘how long were you two together?’ as if your pain can be determined by how long you were with someone. Or if you were with them at all. I don’t think that’s how it works. I think unrequited love is just as valid as any other kind. It’s just as crushing and just as thrilling. No matter what happens in this situation, I want you to remember that what you are doing is selfless and beautiful and kind. You are loving someone purely because you love them, not because you think you’ll ever have your affections reciprocated. You are admiring something for its beauty, without needing to own it. Feel good about being the kind of person who loves selflessly. I think someday you’ll find someone who loves you in that exact same way.” AW.

2. She is a massive cat lady.

Interesting fact: her cat Meredith was named after Meredith Grey from Grey’s Anatomy, and her other cat Olivia Benson was named after the character with the same name from TV show Law & Order.

Check out this video where Olivia Benson makes her TV debut with her kooky mother for Diet Coke, trust me it is the cutest thing you’ll see all day:

Can this PLEASE be my life?!

3. She has the coolest celeb BFF’s including Karlie Kloss and Lorde. The envy is overwhelming!

Taylor and Karlie getting ready together for the MET Gala 2014.

Two singing sensations catching some laughs at the Grammy’s.

4. Her interviews with ANYONE.

In September, I read an interview with Taylor Swift with Rolling Stone Magazine by Josh Eells, and it’s literally the most beautiful thing. It really encapsulates the world that Taylor Swift lives in and the new life in New York that she has built for herself. Check out the full interview here!

5. She’s not only amazing at giving advice to her fans, but to her fellow celebrity chums.

In an interview Selena Gomez recently did with The Talk, Gomez talked about her friendship with Swift. She said, “She [Swift] was actually at my house the other day, and we were sitting by the fire and I was talking about relationships and business in my life. She just kind of looked at me and was like, “Selena, if you’re the smartest person in the room, I think you’re going to be in the wrong room. She thinks I should constantly surround myself with people who are going to make me better, that are going to challenge and motivate me.

6. She’s a feminist for all the right reasons.

In an interview Swift did with The Guardian, she explained why she changed her views on feminism after becoming good friends with Girls star, Lena Dunham:

As a teenager, I didn’t understand that saying you’re a feminist is just saying that you hope women and men will have equal rights and equal opportunities. What it seemed to me, the way it was phrased in culture, society, was that you hate men. And now, I think a lot of girls have had a feminist awakening because they understand what the word means. For so long it’s been made to seem like something where you’d picket against the opposite sex, whereas it’s not about that at all. Becoming friends with Lena – without her preaching to me, but just seeing why she believes what she believes, why she says what she says, why she stands for what she stands for – has made me realise that I’ve been taking a feminist stance without actually saying so.”

7. Her songs are truthful memoirs from her relationships, so what?

I, personally, really admire that Swift makes music about ex-boyfriends and past loves. It really shows how she grows as a woman. Any person who dislikes Swift or her music for that reason needs to immediately fix up, then listen to ‘Out of the Woods’, which is like my new fave right now. Let’s be honest for a minute though; if her music about her ex-boyfriends and romances were not popular – she wouldn’t be making millions upon millions of dollars a year, would she? *SLAM*

Prepare to fall in love with this song…

8. She. Is. HILARIOUS.

(And also a terrible dancer – but that’s why we love her!)

and the other Ellen interviews

Her SNL cameo is great too!

9. She’s actually pretty good at acting too.

Remember her cameo alongside Taylor Lautner in Valentines Day? She got a bit of stick for this film but I think she was great in it.

10. Finally, she is amazing at what she does.

Taylor Swift, we love you!
