‘THE FALL’ SEASON 1 REVIEW

The Fall is a TV series that follows the story of a serial killer crime from the views of the killer Peter Spector (Jamie Dornan) and the police officer heading the investigation into the murders (Gillian Anderson).

This show has 5 episodes in its first season and in those 5 episodes you are taken on an intense ride of the chase to find a killer and the serious escalation of the killer’s activities.

Jamie Dornan plays the cold and strange mild-mannered Peter Spector with brilliance and I think that plays expertly into how this show differs from other detective dramas. The presence of Peter and the audience being aware of his role as the killer gives this show a twist. The time in each episode is devoted equally to hunter and hunted. Gillian Anderson plays a cool, calm and collected superintendent officer with a bit of an edge to her that keeps you just as interested in her character as that of the killer.

Intense and disturbing, The Fall this is one of the best crime shows around right now and certainly one of the best the BBC has ever done as of late.

Luckily for me both seasons are on Netflix so I’m going to stop writing and get started on Season 2.
