New Review: RuPaul’s Drag Race

Racers, start your engines!

No, I’m not about to report to you who won the latest F1 race although (spoilers) it was Vettel, we’re taking about the new series of Ru Pauls All Stars.
Sorry F1 fans but,

“ladies (and gents) start your engines and may the best woman win!”

If you’re new to this series this is All Stars and consists of some of the viewers favourites and most memorable drag queens. Together, they star in Ru Pauls Drag Race All Stars Edition to compete for a place in the hall of fame along with the queens who have won the regular shows.
The third series of All Stars will be premiering in January of 2018 but with only 9 queens announced, Ru has got fans debating who the 10th queen will be.

From Left to Right

Morgan McMichaels (Season 2)

Aja (Season 9)

Shangela (Season 2/3)

Milk (Season 6)

Kennedy Davenport (Season 7)

Chi Chi Devayne (Season 8)

Ben DeLaCreme (season 7)

Thorgy Thor (Season 8)

Trixie Mattel (Season 7)

So who is the 10th Queen? Well it sounds like it’ll be revealed nearer Christmas time but in the meantime, we can all speculate. Here are my bets:

Adore Delano (Season 6)

Adore first appeared on TV in American Idol (2008) as Danny Noriega but made a storm in season 6 with her ‘colourful’ language, ‘hog body’ and her relationship with winner Bianca Del Rio. After coming in as a runner up, she appeared in Season 2 of Ru Pauls All Stars but made an emotional exit after she felt she wasn’t ‘up to standard’ with the girls of the season. In the reunion show, RuPaul made it clear she was invited for Season 3 of All Stars and Adore replied that she’d think about it.
Adore is my favourite to be the tenth queen. I loved her season and love her no BS attitude and style.

Likeliness to Return: 8/10

Valentina (Season 9)

Valentina made quite an impression with fans, RuPaul and co-queens on her season. After her jaw-dropping lip-sync moment, she exited the show (if you haven’t seen season 9, it’s a must) but it seems fans are absolutely obsessed! She was even named ‘fan-favourite’ on the Reunion show on Season 9. Fans have been begging for her return.

I don’t really know how likely it is Valentina will be competing in AS3 so soon after her shocking exit and exposure on the Reunion show but it really would be interesting to see her and Aja, a fellow Season 9 queen, have it out on Untucked again.

Likeliness to Return: 7/10

Darienne Lake (Season 7)

Darienne Lake competed on Season 7 with Ben DeLaCreme who she, for some reason, had a personal vendetta against. As a queen who was voted to be on the original show by the fans, it seems she really is popular. Whether or not she will be the 10th queen or not is another story. People sure are hoping so. It would be very interesting to see how she would work with Ben DeLaCreme again.

Likeliness to Return: 5/10

BeBe Zahara Benet (Season 1 Winner)

My last prediction is an unlikely one but she is also very popular with fans to make a return to the show. BeBe Zahara Benet won the first season of RuPaul’s drag race and it seems fans think that she should show all the ‘youngens’ how its done. Although only three seasons of All Stars have been created a winner is yet to come back. They already have a picture in the Drag Race hall of fame after all. Still, BeBe Zahara Benet is still a popular bet to return to the show to reclaim her crown.

Likeliness to Return: 3/10
